Careers

We invest in our employees because we know it is impossible to achieve excellence without valuing people.

There are things we cannot explain only with words. The sentiment that involves our employees and makes them proud of working for the biggest company in Brazil can be easily noticed in the organizational atmosphere, in the conversations with family, and in the image the society has of the Company.

These values, acquired throughout our history, are among our greatest riches, which we call intangible assets. These are essential factors for companies to create value and competitive edge, classified as human, organizational, and relationship and technological domain capital.

We invest in our employees because we know it is

impossible to achieve excellence in financial results, productivity, and technology without valuing people. For this reason, our professionals' careers are constantly encouraged by means of training programs, opportunities for promotions, remuneration at market standards, educational benefits, health insurance, among others.

It is a simple recipe: we believe motivated employees contribute spontaneously and commit to good performance and organizational results. It is with each person's efforts that we are building a successfully story, envisioning an even better future.

Petrobras University: excellence in teaching

Among the best in the world, the Petrobras University is responsible for training and developing the competencies our employees need. Around a thousand people get training everyday at the Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Salvador units.

Developing our professionals has always been a priority on account of the need for specialized labor in Brazil's oil industry. The outcome of this investment is the acknowledgment of our technical staff's qualifications.

Ecosustainable building - Conceived pursuant to the US Green Building Council standards, Petrobras University's building, in Rio de Janeiro, follows the most modern concepts of sustainability. The cares began as early as in the construction phase, which used certified wood, paints with low emissions of corrosive gases and recycled inputs.

All of the water used to irrigate gardens and to flush and wash toilets comes from captured rain water and from reused water coming from the air conditioning system. Furthermore, natural light substitutes for a major part of the artificial light. Glass installed on the internal and external façades and a central atrium covered by a 900-meter skylight made this possible.

In times in which ecoefficiency has become increasingly necessary and ecological awareness must be present in people's lives, the Company gives a lesson in sustainability.
