Eduardo Falabella says: Well, my friends, my job is as an engineer at Petrobras, and among the several activities Petrobras does, finding oil is the work of a geologist. Geologists are those who work with exploration. But even in this initial activity, engineers contribute because in order for you to make deepwater exploration feasible, in order to drill a well in the Amazon forest, in the Northeastern wilderness, you need engineers to find solutions or equipment that make such drilling feasible. After oil is discovered, you begin the oil production phase. That is where the engineer's role increases. And a production engineering project involves several engineering specialties, from reservoir engineering to equipment engineering, well building, planning, processing, and they are needed in order for you to make a production project feasible. The engineer's job would be to search for solutions that reduce investments, that make production feasible while reducing the investment, reducing the risk, which is a risk activity, and with an environmentally responsible solution. The pre-salt cluster brings together a series or characteristics, and it is a major challenge for engineers. And Petrobras is a company that acknowledges intellectual capital as its main wealth.
