Eleonora Taveira says: I am an educator, and work at the Petrobras university. The university is a part of the Petrobras system that is in charge of holding courses to develop the competencies of employees who work in different areas. Educators are professionals trained predominantly to work in schools, in formal education. And working with corporate education is always very challenging, and will often put you in unexpected situations. Well, the educator's biggest challenge in an organization is always to perceive what the company's strategic goals are, what a Petrobras employee needs to know, what skills he needs on the job. We deal with people on a daily basis, discussing issues we could never imagine we would talk about. I often find myself discussing processes like catalytic cracking, wet Christmas trees, dry Christmas trees, geophones. These are things that by no means are part of the educator's universe, they are not part of their training, but they are surprised on a daily basis by them and soon start taking on a little of this language, of this knowledge in order to be able to work in a more appropriate manner in the company's needs. And a professional who intends to work at a company often needs to get qualified via their own initiative, getting to know a little more about this corporate universe. And that is already a great step in order to someday be here. Anyone who works at Petrobras will have their space to work in and their space for professional development too. And this is not only a dream, but the chance to make the dream come true as well.
