We announce that our total oil and natural gas output in July was 2.74 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), of which 2.63 million boed produced in Brazil and 114,000 boed abroad.
The average oil output in the country was 2.12 million barrels per day (bpd), 3 percent less than June’s. This result is mainly due to the scheduled shutdown of the P-58 platform, which operates in the Jubarte, Baleia Anã, Baleia Azul, and Baleia Franca fields, in the Campos Basin.
Natural gas production in Brazil, meanwhile, excluding the liquefied volume, was 80 million cubic meters per day, 0.4 percent less than in the previous month.
Production in the pre-salt
In July, the oil and natural gas output we operate (own and partner portions) in the pre-salt layer added up to 1.61 million bpd, down 4.3 percent compared to the previous month’s. This result is mainly due to the scheduled shutdown of the P-58.
Oil and gas production abroad
Oil output at overseas fields was 65,000 bpd in July, stable compared to the previous month’s mark.
Natural gas production was 8.4 million cubic meters per day, 2.9 percent more than the June output. This increase was mainly due to the increased demand for Bolivian gas production.
