Get to know the projects selected by the Petrobras Development and Citizenship Program

The Public Selection for the Petrobras Development & Citizenship Program analyzed 113 social projects. We will invest R$110 million over two years in them. Projects from all states are among those selected.

Via the Development and Citizenship program, we invest in projects aimed at the Generation of Income and Work Opportunities, Education for Professional Qualification, and in Guaranteeing the Rights of Children and Adolescents. This new edition of the Program consolidates us as the largest corporate sponsor of social projects in Brazil.

The geographical distribution of the projects encompassed upwards of 450 cities in all Brazilian states. The North will have 14 sponsored projects, with funding of worth R$13.1 million. The Northeast will have 40 projects, slated to receive R$40.4 million. In the Midwest, the 8 selected projects will get R$9.1 million. In the Southeast, there are 31 projects with funding in the order of R$31.8 million. The 16 projects in the Southern Region will get R$11.2 million. Besides these, the four projects with regional and national scope stand to get R$3.9 million.

In total, 5183 projects were entered in the public selection. The project selection period ranged from July to September and involved more than 150 evaluators, who were divided into four stages of analysis: administrative screening, technical screening and economic assessment, the Selection Committee, and the Advisory Board.
