Podium Gasoline
Podium: the most advanced technology in fuels
Podium is the gasoline with the highest octane count sold in the world, and it can be used in any vehicle, whether running on a gasoline or on a flexfuel engine.
Unlike what you may think, Podium is also efficient in 1.0 vehicles, it all depends on the engine compression rate. Check out your car's rate. If it is equal to or above 10:1, you will notice the benefits when you tank-up with this gasoline.
The explanation for this is in Podium's octane rating. It allows the engine manufacturer’s total designed power to be used, affording faster speed recovery and, thus, ensuring safer passing.
Because of its formulation and of its special additive package, developed especially for the Brazilian gasoline, Petrobras Podium also prevents the formation of deposits in the engine, reducing vehicle maintenance costs.

Gasoline with Additives
What makes this type of gasoline different is the addition of dispersants and detergents in its composition. The advantage of using it is that it helps keep the injection system clean, reducing costs associated to vehicle maintenance.
Petrobras gasoline with additives has the best package of additives, developed especially for the Brazilian market, which, according to the legislation in effect, must contain 20% to 25% ethanol.

Diesel Fuel
Diesel fuel, in its various denominations, is the main fuel marketed in Brazil, and is used to transport cargo and passengers on boats, in the industry, to generate power, in construction machinery, in farm machinery and in locomotives, meeting the needs both of the consumers and of the most advanced technologies in combustion engines.
We produce and trade Diesel fuel on the fuel distribution market for applications defined pursuant to the specifications set forth by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP).
Podium Diesel
To ensure top performance for your vehicle's engine, and to reduce the speed recovery time, fill your tank up regularly with Podium Diesel.
This diesel fuel is formed by special oil currents and has exclusive additives in it, which keep the injection system clean and reduce foaming when you fill your tank up.
Another advantage of the Podium Diesel is that, for being the only one with a double filtering system at the service stations, it removes the solid particles and the water during the tank filling procedure.

Extra Diesel (Diesel Fuel with Additives)
Marketed by Petrobras Distribuidora, Extra Diesel has an exclusive package of additives in it (detergent, antifoam and anticorrosion, and emulsifier) that improves performance and slashes maintenance costs.
Each additive works in a specific manner:
- the detergent additive removes deposits in the fuel supply system and on the injector nozzles,
- the antifoam additive reduces foaming during the fill-up procedure, making it faster,
- the anticorrosive and emulsifier reduces tank and fuel line corrosion levels.Continuous usage of Extra Diesel allows for a more homogeneous blend of the fuel with air, improving engine yield, preventing diesel fuel waste, and reducing emissions.

Winter Diesel Fuel
The Winter Diesel Fuel was designed with Petrobras' cutting-edge technology to supply vehicles and equipment running at temperatures below zero degrees.
The Winter Diesel fuel's special formulation allows for quick startups and does not require the use of other additives or blends that might compromise proper engine operation.
It was rolled-out in 2004 and is marketed in southern Brazil from May to September.

Interior Diesel Fuel
Interior Diesel fuel is the fuel that is sold the most in Brazil. It is used by the train engines, agricultural machines, tractors, combines, and freight and passenger transportation vehicles.
You can find Interior Diesel fuel in the Brazilian municipalities where there are smaller fleets in circulation.
The characteristics that differentiate the Metropolitan Diesel include the maximum concentration of 1800 parts per million of sulfur, corresponding to 0.18% of this element in the diesel, and the application of a red die in it to allow the consumers to readily recognize it.

Metropolitan Diesel Fuel
You can find the Metropolitan Diesel fuel in the Brazilian cities that concentrate the biggest fleets in circulation.
The Metropolitan Diesel fuel - which is used in buses, trucks and other heavy transportation vehicles - has a maximum sulfur content of 500 parts per million (ppm), corresponding to a concentration of 0.05% of this element in the diesel.

S-50 Diesel Fuel
We believe in change, in evolution.
Since January 2009, we have been producing and marketing S-50 Diesel, which contains a maximum of 50 mg/kg or ppm (parts per million) of sulfur. From January 1, 2012, S-50 Diesel will be available in service stations nationwide to supply the new fleet of light and heavy-duty diesel-fired vehicles that meet the Phase L6 and P7 Proconve emissions limits.
The S-50 Diesel is suitable for the new emission control technologies used in the new diesel engines manufactured from 2012, permitting the reduction of particulate matter emissions by up to 80%. It also has a minimum cetane number (a measure of the quality of the diesel fuel) of 46, affording any vehicle, even those manufactured before 2012, improved engine conservation and maintenance cost reductions.

Automotive Diesel
We produce and market three types of automotive diesel specified by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP): S-50, S-500 and S-1800 Diesel, called as such in accordance with the maximum sulfur content that they may have. Previously, the regulation determined the regional marketing of the Metropolitan and Interior specifications.
The S-500 and S-1800 Automotive Diesel fuels are so called because they contain, respectively, 500 and 1800 mg/kg or ppm (parts per million) maximum sulfur content, known at the service stations as ordinary diesel and suitable for the immense fleet of diesel-fired vehicles manufactured before January 1, 2012.

Biodiesel
As a part of the biodiesel studies, we created a program that covers technological development, commercial production, and product availability at our service stations.
Biodiesel is a biodegradable fuel derived from renewable sources, which can be obtained by means of several processes. It can be made from animal fat or vegetable oils, there are dozens of species of plants in Brazil that can be used, such as castor beans, dende palm, sunflower seeds, babaçu, peanuts, jatropha, and soybeans, among others.
Its usage substitutes, in full or in part, for diesel fuel in truck, tractor, car, power and heat generator engines, among others.
It can be used pure or blended with diesel at several proportions. The current biodiesel blend with diesel fuel in the Brazilian market is 4%, the so-called B4. Pure biodiesel is called B100.

Natural Vehicular Gas
Converting vehicles to use natural gas, particularly taxi fleets in the major urban centers, helped popularize VNG. Like oil, it is a fossil fuel, but has a few differentials:
- It offers a cost advantage per mile;
- As it is dry, it does not leave carbon residues in the internal engine parts, increasing the engine’s useful life and the oil change interval;
- It has low nitrogen, carbon dioxide and sulfur emission levels, contributing to improve the air in the urban centers.Cars converted to use VNG become "bifuel," and the driver can pick the best option when it comes time to fill up.

Arla 32
ARLA 32 (Automotive Liquid Reducing Agent) is a chemical that acts to reduce the nitrogen oxide (NOx) emitted by vehicular exhaust gases. Reacting with these gases, ARLA 32 turns NOx into water vapor and nitrogen, gases that are harmless to human health. ARLA 32 allows the Euro V emissions standard, for engines fitted with the SCR technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction), to be met.
Petrobras' ARLA 32 is certified by INMETRO and meets international quality requirements set forth under ISO 22241.
To ensure product quality through the end consumer, we have rolled-out the Petrobras FLUA on the market. This is the only ARLA 32 with Petrobras brand's quality assurance.
