The 2016 Sustainability Report brings together data for the period ranging from January 1 to December 31, 2016. In this edition, we integrate concepts and elements recommended under the integrated reporting model and adapt the report to present this content: Overview of the organization and external context; governance; compliance; business model; business strategy and management system; results; perspectives, and challenges.
In this edition, we incorporate the business model that presents how we use resources in our business activities, which are rated as financial, human, intellectual, productive, natural, and relationships, and which result in products that aim to meet the organization’s strategic purposes and generate value over time.
We also included the correlation of the material topics to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Seventeen other objectives, such as climate change, the sustainable use of oceans and terrestrial ecosystems, economic growth, and sustainable consumption and production, among others, are part of these goals.
Thus, we reinforce the importance of building a company that integrates social, environmental, and economic issues into its business’ daily operations. We reaffirm our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, which encourages us to move forward with initiatives aimed at respecting human rights, fair labor practices, combating corruption, and preserving the environment.
