The Duque de Caxias Refinery (Reduc) is one of Brazil's largest in terms of installed oil refining capacity. The refinery, which went on stream in 1961, has gained increasing prominence on the national scene. With favorable logistics, accounting for 80% of the lubricant production and for the largest amount of natural gas processing in Brazil, it also has the largest portfolio of our products (in total 55 products are processed in 43 units). Located in the Baixada Fluminense area, Reduc spurred the birth of a strong industrial complex in the region.

Terminals it is connected to

The Duque de Caxias Refinery connects to the Ilha D'Água, Ilha Redonda, Angra dos Reis, Cabiúnas, Campos Elíseos, and Volta Redonda Terminals. It is also interconnected to the Gabriel Passos Refinery (REGAP), in Betim (MG), and to the Henrique Lage Refinery (Revap), in São José dos Campos (SP).
 

Brief background:

On September 9, 1961, the refinery started producing fuels aimed primarily at Rio de Janeiro and its region of influence. This was a milestone for the State's industrial development. After being added to our refining park, which at the time was still consolidating, the Duque de Caxias Refinery started growing in size and importance.

Today, the refinery operates linked to a broad network of industries, ensuring supply to the growing market demands for fuel, lubricants, petrochemicals and gas. It participates intensively in the natural gas chain, both in distribution and in the supply of input for the petrochemical industry.
 

More than half a century since its inception, the refinery increasingly modernizes and consolidates itself as an important asset of ours in Rio de Janeiro.
